A Sound of Thunder A Sound of Thunder - Wastelands

It's 2090 and the seas are boiling
The sun is beaming down on poisoned land
Starving people in the ruins toiling
The remnants of the legacy of man

Civilization burned in the fire
Disintegration of a golden age
Survival necessary to aspire

Run through the wastelands
So we can live on
Promise of life in the dawn

The world is madness our cities broken
The Armageddon finally has come
The dust has settled on dreams of old
Refugees are what we have become

Children are starving
As they search for longing
Knowing nothing of the world that's gone
They do not cry for simple sad belongings

Reality drifting through madness and pain
Mankind will not be restrained

There's still a light to follow
Don't drown yourself in pain
Though hope is desecrated
We've not survived this long in vain

Walk on do not stumble
There must be a promised land
Though all you know has crumbled
We are the last hope of man

The snow is falling
And we don't have shelter
Our clothing clinging to us paper thin
A fire rages in our hearts and voices
Nothing to shield the peril that we're in

The road is endless the forest falling
There's nothing left to grow it all will burn
Death is tempting you hear her calling

Don't follow dreams
That are tempting and true
Death is just calling to you

There's still a light to follow
Don't drown yourself in pain
Though hope is desecrated
We've not survived this long in vain

Walk on do not stumble
There must be a promised land
Though all you know has crumbled
We are the last hope of man

Memories fading like nightmares in time
Remnants of man
And the earth in their prime
Grasping at shadows before they can run
Pray for the warmth of the sun

The pain of hunger and the fear of torment
It's driven men and women to go mad
I will not join them or their savage nightmare

Hope will not die if there's fire inside
Humanity won't be denied

There's still a light to follow
Don't drown yourself in pain
Though hope is desecrated
We've not survived this long in vain

Walk on do not stumble
There must be a promised land
Though all you know has crumbled
We are the last hope of man
